Psychology is a discipline devoted to scientific study of the behavior and mental processes of human and other animals, as well as application of the knowledge in clinical intervention. This course introduces basic knowledge of psychology to students, and offer guidance for preparing the AP* Psychology Exam.

This course is designed with scope and depth of college level. Intensive readings are assigned based on the schedule listed below. Students are required to well comprehend important terminologies, concepts and mechanism, and develop analytical and critical reflection on the material.

Students will (1) learn the history, the research methods and important findings of major subfields within psychology; (2) be able to apply psychological knowledge to explain and analyze daily experiences; (3) distinguish sound scientific report from problematic ones either on the media or academic sources; (4) design and complete a research project, and write a report with APA style. (5) be familiar with the style of AP* exam through practices.
